I remember playing with design, texture and color in fabrics since I was a toddler. Older women in my family were examples for traditional sewing. Sewing for economic and practical reasons took my family through the growth times. Now, later in life, I have time to follow my intuition to play and keep exploring. I love to take flights of fancy with utilitarian clothing and fibers such as rug materials, turning them into wearables or design accessories for expression.

After 20 years as a costumer for Festival Theatre in St Croix Falls, I wanted to pursue new ideas, while staying close to fabric. I chose to explore bold colors, whimsical designs in cotton and linen. I centered my interests on practical usage, easy maintenance and, most of all, my passion for color.
It all started in 2003 when my daughter was preparing to be an exchange student and needed host gifts. I developed a bag design for many practical usages. She went to Brazil with 25 bags and I continued redesigning, Over time, My Little Bag was created.
